The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama is to provide facilities, programs and leadership to enable all youth to develop and achieve their maximum potential in accordance with
Judeo-Christian principles.


The Club operates facilities in Jefferson, St. Clair, and Walker Counties. With a variety of sites ranging from large modern full service facilities with swimming pools and gymnasiums to small Clubs that have been renovated into a Boys & Girls Club which is able offer fun activities for children. The Club provides its members with a safe place to go, a regular schedule of programs and activities, and a staff that really cares.

Our Core Programs
Boys & Girls Clubs of America's national programs have taken members from the Clubhouse to the White House; from the games room to the corporate boardroom; from the high school orchestra to Carnegie Hall.
Character & Leadership Helping youth become responsible caring citizens.
Education & Career

These programs help youth create aspirations for the future, providing opportunities for career exploration and educational enhancement.

Health & Life Skills

These initiatives help youth achieve and maintain healthy, active lifestyles.

The Arts

These initiatives help young people enhance self-expression and creativity, develop multicultural appreciation, provide exposure to and develop skills in crafts and visual, performing and literary arts.

Sports, Fitness
& Recreation

These programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment, and social and interpersonal skills.

Environmental and Outdoor Education Program Provide campers with opportunities to investigate environmental issues and encourage them to make informed, responsible decisions.  Our goal is to help campers become more enviromentally literate.
Specialized Programs These initiatives emphasize community mobilization and family involvement as strategies Clubs can use to better serve more young people and broaden the impact of all Club programs.
